Creative writing contest (4th-8th grades)

This annual contest gives students an excellent opportunity to develop their creative writing skills and compete with students from across Illinois and the nation. It is open to students in all IACS member schools and is separate from the spring fine arts competitions.

Students may enter one of two divisions based on their current grade level:

Elementary Division: Grades 4–6
Junior High Division: Grades 7–8

State competition winners are announced by email and are automatically entered into the national competition. A complete list of winners from the most recent state and national competitions will be available on the IACS website.
